Information event: transition from primary school

Do you feel attracted to the family atmosphere and humanistic orientation of our school? Would you like to find out more about our foreign languages: Latin (grade 5) ⇒ English (grade 6) ⇒ Ancient Greek (grade 8) ⇒ (optionally) Spanish (grade 11-13), or about the diverse profile of Fridericianum? Are you curious to see how a school founded in 1745 presents itself in 2026?

Then come and get to know Erlangen’s most compact grammar school at our information evening on Friday, 27 February 2026, at 6 p.m. We look forward to meeting interested fourth-graders and their parents and to introducing them to the school and its school family. After a joint kick-off, primary school pupils can get a taste of typical subjects, while parents and guardians are informed about the special features of Fridericianum. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts and to explore the school building and grounds together.

Enrolment at Gymnasium Fridericianum

We kindly ask for online pre-registration starting Saturday April 25, 2026. The main in-person registration date is Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 3 to 5.30 p.m. There will be signs in the auditorium guiding you to the registration rooms. The school administration and the school counselling team will be available on this day.

Furthermore, you can schedule individual appointments with the administration office in order to register on one of the following days:

• Monday, May 11, 2026, from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
• Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon
• Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Late registrations are possible on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 8 to 11 a.m. in the administration office (Room 134 on the second floor).

Please bring the following documents to remain at the school

• a signed printout of the online registration form
• a printout of the personal data form (see online at Formulare)
• an original of the school report (Übertrittszeugnis)
• a copy of the child’s birth certificate or the family registry (please show original)
• a copy of the custody order (if applicable)
• in case of a reading/spelling disorder: a copy of the latest report/expertise
• a signed copy of the data protection form (Datenschutzerklärung)
• a signed copy of the consent form for use of the parental school information platform (Infoportal)

Please hand in all of the above documents including the signed registration form in person at the time of registration.
